From the Station Manager – #14

From the Station ManagerAll student workers on campus received their monthly paycheck last week.  If yours was like mine, it was pretty small even though you had put in a lot of time and effort into the job.  And if you were like me, you probably cashed it quickly because you really needed the money.  But have you honored God yet with the money you received in that paycheck?

Proverbs 3:9 says to, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.”  Have you tithed on that paycheck yet?  The Bible makes it clear in Proverbs, and elsewhere, that we are to return to God the first portion of all that we receive.  It is an act of obedience… and worship.  So take part of that meager check today and set it aside to honor God as your tithe.
