Where do you go when you have a problem? If it’s a relationship problem, you probably go to a close friend. If you have a financial problem, you probably do what I do and call Mom and Dad. If it’s a roommate problem, the RA would probably be the first person on your list. Who you call in a crisis situation depends on the problem you have.
Proverbs 18:10 tells us, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.” You’ve sang the song, but do you understand what it means? Let me put it this way: God is like home-base in a game of hide-and-seek. He is your strong tower, your home-base. When problems pursue you, He is your safety. The next time you have a problem, instead of running to second best, run to God first. He promises protection, security, and refuge for His children at all times. Devote yourself to God by faith and prayer, and depend on Him in the tough times. He is the safest home-base you will ever find.
