Shawn was at work on Saturday and during his lunch he was checking some things on the computer. He just happened to enter Dr. E. G. Robertson just to see what he could find. He was so surprised when "Here's to you Mr. Robertson/KMYoung.com" came up. He couldn't wait to get home and show me what he had found. He loved his grandfather and misses him so much.
What you said about dad was so special. He loved you and your family so much. And, you will always be part of the family to us.
Thanks for writing something so special in honor of my dad. He was the best and is missed sooooooooo much. I know he is finished here on earth but the work he did while here will continue until the Lord returns. He is where he longed to be.
I asked him the day before he passed away if he had had a glimpse of Heaven yet -- He had this big smile come across his face and said, "IT IS BEAUTIFUL!" We knew it wouldn't be long then. We love and miss him. One day we will be together again.
He would have been 77 in two days (11/26/08).

Seriously, though, I wish the church was known for what we are for, rather than only for what we are against.

Pastor David Allison said he didn’t put up the sign to draw attention to the church. You my friend do not seem to understand the point of signs.

"to deny Gospel Today the right to freedom of the press to cover it and discuss it is alarming,”

Ummmm, No, this is not censorship, not in any way shape or form. Lifeway is a private company that can choose what it wants to sell. There are literally millions of products they've chosen NOT to sell, from waffle irons to pornography to car engine parts.

If there was any evidence that Lifeway had influenced the editorial content of this magazine there might be a case here, but there is no inidcation that happened at all. In fact, just the opposite is true. The issue of Gospel Today went to press and is readily avaialable from other outlets.

I know I get interesting reactions from professors when I tell them I plan to go to seminary. I go to a SBC school. I have been denied scholarships because of it as well. Usually the professors are okay when I inform them I plan to "only" do youth ministry...

Reverend Young,

They are both fellow senators - I think it was totally appropriate. What was obviously disrespectful to both Senator Obama and the American public is that Senator McCain did not look Obama in the face. I think more than anything else, Obama was trying to engage in a conversation with McCain, in which McCain refused to respond.

Nobody knows where Obama was coming from when he called him John. He may have been being disrespectful, he may have meant nothing by it at all.
But can you deny that it's disrespectful to not look at the person you are debating?

Heh. Oooooh. Interesting Dilemma. Are we Christians first, or are we Americans first, or is the question not actually applicable? I think you and I probably are thinking the same way Kevin.

Interesting...

Yes Kevin, but remember that Governor Palin also referred to Senator Biden as "Joe". After asking permission of course... But I agree with your point.
